Events we are attending

We met during our MA in Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies at the University of Leeds in 2015. In the space of just over a year, we went from classmates, to friends, and now to colleagues and partners in crime. Our personalities complement each other and we are not afraid to put ourselves out there. This is the main reason why we decided to start this blog, together with the fact that we like to talk a lot and share our insight with other like-minded people.

We will be blogging about our enthusiasm and passion for the translation and interpreting industry and the challenges of starting a career in this field.

Why "Apertis Verbis"? This Latin expression clearly conveys the ethos of this blog: we want to be candid, blunt, straightforward and talk about what really matters to us: interpreting and translation.

Hopefully you will find some food for thought in here and we would love to hear what you think!
